Simba Gardens

About this space

Simba Gardens, which trades as Prestige Simba Gardens, is a garden leisure and events venue on Evergreen Lane in Tsavo Court, Utawala, in the Embakasi area on the eastern side of Nairobi. It describes itself as a one-stop recreation and events venue, and its setting is lawns, flowering plants and mature trees in a quiet residential part of Utawala, away from the busier parts of the city.

The grounds are made up of open lawns for gatherings, a barbecue house, space for pitching tents and a children's playground the venue calls the Cubs' Corner. Indoors there is a meeting room with a small business centre fitted with computers, a printer, a photocopier and a scanner, with internet access. The venue doesn't publish capacities for any of these spaces, so the number of guests the lawns or the meeting room can hold should be confirmed directly when enquiring.

The venue says it organises and hosts weddings, birthday parties, graduation celebrations, baby and bridal showers, family fun days and get-togethers, team-building days, product launches and public meetings. It is also open for wedding and event photo and video shoots, and it welcomes groups who want to camp, hold a goat-eating feast or spend a relaxed day outdoors with children.

Listed facilities include free Wi-Fi, washrooms with bathing facilities, ample car parking and the tent pitching grounds, alongside the barbecue house and playground. The venue doesn't say whether it provides catering or bar service itself, so couples and organisers should ask what food and drink arrangements are possible. Utawala lies a short drive from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and within reach of the city centre. Bookings and enquiries are taken by phone, by email or through the reservation form on the venue's website, and the venue doesn't publish its rates.
