Scilla Gardens

Scilla Gardens is the outdoor events ground of Sportsview Hotel Kasarani, a 104-room hotel on Icipe Road, just off Thika Road in Kasarani, Nairobi, a few minutes from the Moi International Sports Centre. The gardens are landscaped lawns with open skies and are booked through the hotel, which also runs restaurants, a pool, a health club and a children's amusement park on the same grounds.

The hotel puts the gardens' capacity at up to 5,000 guests, which makes them suited to large weddings, concerts and company events; no seated banquet figure is published. Layouts range from banquets to concerts, and the grounds can take large marquees for weddings, parties and exhibitions. For indoor needs, the hotel's Jumbo Convention Centre seats 1,000 in theatre style and splits into two halls, and there are 17 further conference rooms.

Weddings are the main focus, with garden ceremonies, receptions and photo or video shoots, but the hotel also promotes Scilla Gardens for corporate gatherings, team building, concerts, milestone celebrations and parties.

Food comes from the hotel kitchen. Wedding buffets are sold in tiers per guest, from the Gold heritage menu to the Titanium spread, and a bespoke five-course plated dinner is available for weddings of 10 to 70 guests. An outdoor bar and catering can be arranged in the gardens, and the hotel also offers honeymoon stays with décor and breakfast in bed. Practical touches include a private entrance for arrivals, ample secure parking and a helipad for couples who want to arrive by helicopter. Guests travelling from elsewhere can stay in the hotel's rooms, which include rooms adapted for guests with disabilities. Bookings and quotes go through the hotel's sales team, by phone, WhatsApp or email.
