Sagret Gardens

Sagret Gardens is a privately run floral garden venue on Kiambu Road at Thindigua, a short distance behind the Quickmart supermarket and about a minute's drive off the main road. Thindigua lies in Kiambu County, along the main road between Nairobi and Kiambu town, so the venue draws guests from both.

The grounds are laid out as four gardens that step down the slope one below the other, each a different size and each edged with flowering shrubs and kept lawns. Because the gardens are separate, a small party can take one level while a larger event spreads across several, and the planted borders give couples and photographers plenty of backdrops. The published sources describe the venue as able to host anything from a picnic for two to a large celebration, but they don't give a guest count for any garden, so planners should confirm numbers for their chosen layout when they enquire.

The venue promotes itself for weddings, picnics and other gatherings, and directory pages show it set up for baby showers, Valentine's dinners and picnics for two. It also opens to the public as a picnic garden, with an entry fee charged per adult and per child, so anyone booking a private event should check how it fits around the garden's public opening on the day.

A 2024 guide lists ample parking, electric outlets, clean toilets, floodlights for evening events, and decor and catering services that can be arranged through the venue. Being outdoors, the gardens depend on the weather, so a tent or marquee plan is worth discussing for the rainy seasons. Bookings and garden hire charges are handled by phone, and the venue's Instagram account shows its gardens and past set-ups.
