About this space

Safari Park Hotel & Casino is a large five-star resort hotel set in 40 acres of landscaped grounds along the Thika Road Superhighway at Exit 7B, near Kasarani in Nairobi. It has 203 rooms, apartments for longer stays, a casino, a health club and five specialty restaurants, and it promotes itself as one of the largest conference and events venues in Nairobi, with more than 20 meeting rooms.

The biggest indoor space is the Jambo Conference Centre, a pillarless, air-conditioned hall for over 1,200 delegates that can be divided for smaller functions and has foyer room for more than 30 exhibition booths. The Pavilion Conference Centre takes 400, the Bougainville and Kumbayah rooms 200 each, and the Ivory and Mt Elgon D rooms 100, with smaller Mt Kenya breakout rooms. Outside, the six-acre Paradise Gardens are listed for up to 10,000 guests and have their own driveway and a helipad, while Kumbayah Gardens hold 500, Mamta Poolside over 200, and Kigwa Waterfalls and Block 300 100 each.

The hotel hosts conferences, trade shows, product launches, gala dinners, weddings, graduations, birthday parties and team-building days, and it runs themed wedding styles alongside honeymoon and photo-session packages in the grounds.

Catering is in-house, and the hotel also offers outside catering. Its restaurants include the Nyama Choma Ranch, where the Safari Cats dancers and acrobats perform nightly and can be booked for events. Meeting rooms come with Wi-Fi, projectors, screens, cordless microphones, flip charts, 24-hour backup power and a technician on call. Wedding packages include the reception venue, a cake and a honeymoon suite, and ceremony set-ups come with a red carpet, podium, banquet chairs and a PA system. There is ample secure parking, several venues have their own car parks and washrooms, and the hotel is roughly 15 to 20 minutes' drive from the city centre.
