Pullman Nairobi Upper Hill
About this space
Pullman Nairobi Upper Hill is a 162-room hotel on Kenya Road in Upper Hill, the Nairobi business district lined with corporate offices, banks and embassies. It opened in June 2024 as the first Pullman-branded hotel in East Africa, part of the Accor group, and sits roughly 15 minutes' drive from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport along the Nairobi Expressway.
Its event rooms are spread across a ground floor and a mezzanine. The main space is the Tana Ballroom, a pillarless room of 390 square metres with a 5.3-metre ceiling, which the hotel lists at up to 600 people theatre-style, 300 for a banquet or cocktail reception and 250 in cabaret layout. Three 130-square-metre rooms, Ewaso Nyiro, Sagana and Kaiti, each hold about 200 theatre-style or 80 for a banquet, and Umba on the mezzanine seats 120 theatre-style. A set of smaller rooms, including Studio, Njoro, Turkwell and Nithi, covers boardroom meetings and workshops of between 8 and 60 people.
The hotel pitches its spaces at conferences, seminars, workshops, team-building sessions, galas and other corporate events. It also promotes the ballroom for weddings, with ceremonies and receptions of up to 300 guests. Event enquiries are handled through Accor's quote request system or by the hotel directly.
Catering is done in-house, and the hotel provides audiovisual equipment with a technical support team, Wi-Fi and a car park; Accor lists the property as wheelchair accessible. Facilities include The Dispatch Grill restaurant, The Junction lobby bar, a heated outdoor pool, a Technogym fitness centre and a spa, while the guest rooms give delegates and wedding parties somewhere to stay on site. Public transport stops on Ngong Avenue are about 400 metres away, and the hotel can arrange paid airport transfers.
