About this space

Northwood Gardens & Adventure Park is a garden venue with a small hotel in the Nyeri area of central Kenya. The property combines landscaped lawns, flower beds and shaded walking paths with a restaurant, a bar and guest rooms, and its owners present it as a quiet country escape from city life.

Functions take place on the outdoor event grounds, which the venue says can handle both intimate gatherings and large outdoor events, with flexible layouts and help with set-up. Its photos show open lawns, tents and gazebos, fire pits ringed with cane chairs and covered lounges. It doesn't publish a capacity for the grounds or figures by layout, so planners should ask for seated and standing numbers when they enquire.

The venue lists garden weddings, birthdays, private parties, corporate team-building days and retreats, family gatherings and school trips among the occasions it hosts. Other attractions on the grounds include an enclosure with two crocodiles, walking trails and a children's play area, which makes it a practical choice for family days and groups bringing children.

Food comes from the in-house restaurant, which serves local and international dishes, and the kitchen also offers buffets and outside catering for events. The bar serves cocktails and chilled drinks, and the dining and drinking lounges have seating both indoors and outdoors. Wi-Fi covers the whole property and there is secure parking on site. Overnight guests can book single or double en-suite rooms, which suits groups on multi-day retreats. Bookings and event enquiries go through the venue's phone line, its email address or the enquiry form on its website.
