Naiposha Gardens

Naiposha Gardens is a private garden venue on Limuru Road in Tigoni, Kiambu County, less than a kilometre from the main gate of St Paul's University. The grounds look out over Lake Tigoni and sit within a tea farm, with lawns, rose beds, herbs and lavender planted throughout. It is run alongside a sister venue, Naishola Gardens, and the two share a booking team.

The venue gives its capacity as up to 1,000 people, though it does not break that figure down by layout. It takes one wedding at a time, so the couple has exclusive use of all the garden spaces between 6am and 6pm, and an evening extension is available for an extra fee. Tents, chairs and décor are put up by the couple's own suppliers, who get two days to set up and one day to clear away. Tables, linen, chairs and crockery can be hired through the venue at additional cost.

Weddings are the main business, from small ceremonies to large receptions, and the venue sells a wedding planning service covering either full planning or on-the-day coordination. It also hosts private parties such as birthdays, baby showers and graduation celebrations, along with picnics, photoshoots, music videos and commercial filming.

There is no in-house caterer: couples bring their own, and the venue can suggest firms it has worked with before. Drinks can be brought in too. The hire fee covers parking for more than 500 vehicles with two parking attendants, security guards, washrooms, power and water, a rehearsal for the bridal party and a free engagement shoot on the grounds. The venue reports a 6.5 kVA backup generator, says it is accessible to guests with disabilities, and states that it has no noise restrictions because of its farm setting. Cars are kept off the lawns, and site visits can be booked on any day of the week.

Excludes VAT; KES 20,000 refundable deposit; evening party KES 58,500 extra. Weekend (Thu–Sun) rates are higher; ask the venue.
