Maline Gardens

About this space

Maline Gardens is an outdoor event garden on Marurui Road in Garden Estate, a residential area of north-east Nairobi just off Thika Road. The venue presents itself on social media as an all-occasion garden, and its main space is a manicured lawn that it hires out for private functions, with recent posts promoting its big skies, green lawns and quiet setting.

The garden is a single open-air space rather than a set of halls or rooms. The venue doesn't publish a maximum capacity or figures by layout, so anyone planning a seated meal or a larger reception should confirm guest numbers before booking. Recent photographs it has posted show the lawn laid out with dining tables, tablecloths, candle holders and garden umbrellas, which gives a sense of how it is typically dressed for a daytime event.

Maline Gardens lists weddings, graduations, birthdays, baby showers and bridal parties among the events it hosts, and it also offers the grounds for photoshoots. That mix makes it a natural fit for family celebrations and other social gatherings that want a green, open-air setting within the city rather than a hotel function room. The venue doesn't advertise corporate or conference packages.

Some of its posts credit the décor to the venue's own team, but it doesn't say whether it provides catering, furniture, tents or sound, so organisers should ask what is included in the hire and what they need to bring in from their own suppliers. Because the space is entirely outdoors, it is worth asking about cover for the rainy season, as well as about parking and evening lighting. Enquiries go to a single mobile number by phone or WhatsApp, or through the venue's Instagram and Facebook pages, where it posts regularly.
