Lake Naivasha Resort

Lake Naivasha Resort is a large lakeside hotel on Moi South Lake Road, on the southern shore of Lake Naivasha in Nakuru County. It is part of the Superior Hotels Kenya group and combines guest rooms, cottages and penthouses with one of the bigger conference operations in the Naivasha area, set in open lawns beside the lake.

The resort says its meeting spaces range from executive boardrooms and breakout rooms to large conference halls, with total capacity for up to 3,000 guests. It doesn't publish figures for each room or layout, so organisers should ask which hall suits their numbers and set-up.

Conferences are the core business: the resort lists corporates, NGOs, government bodies, SACCOs, churches and international organisations among the groups it hosts, along with training workshops, seminars and executive retreats, and it also rents out exhibition booth space. It hosts weddings, with ceremonies by the lake and receptions in the grounds, as well as birthdays and children's parties, bridal and baby showers and graduation parties.

The in-house conference and events team handles room set-up, catering, accommodation and technical support. Meeting rooms come with high-speed internet, audio-visual equipment, air conditioning, a registration desk, flipcharts, writing materials and tea and coffee breaks, and the resort publishes day conference packages that bundle the room, stationery and a buffet lunch. For celebrations, the team coordinates décor, food and drink and themed set-ups. Guests can also use the swimming pool, the restaurants and a wellness spa, and boat rides on the lake can be arranged. Because delegates can stay on site, it works well for multi-day events, and the resort offers group rates for larger bookings.
