Evergreen Park & Garden

Evergreen Park & Garden is an outdoor picnic site and events ground on Kiambu Road, about 500 metres past the Northern Bypass junction and roughly 12 kilometres from central Nairobi. The park covers around 10 acres of grass and fruit trees arranged around a small dam, and it is a popular weekend spot for families from Nairobi and Kiambu. The gate sits a short climb off the main road, and parts of the grounds are reached by steps.

The grounds are made up of open lawns, shaded areas under the trees and a series of gazebos and bandas fitted with tables and benches, several of which look out over the water. These spaces suit garden weddings, receptions, birthday parties, baby showers and family gatherings, and the park advertises itself on Instagram as both a picnic site and an events venue, with weddings and events among its featured highlights. No guest capacities are published, so couples and planners should ask the park directly how many people each area can take.

Much of the park's appeal lies in its activities, which can keep guests and children busy around an event. Visitors can take a boat out on the dam, ride a horse or camel, fish, try zip-lining or join a painting session, with most activities charged at a small fee on top of the gate price. Barbecue grills can be hired on site, which makes the park a common choice for cookouts and informal celebrations.

There is no restaurant or cafeteria on the grounds, so food is brought in, cooked on hired grills or delivered, and larger events will need an outside caterer; washrooms are available.
