About this space

Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa is a beachfront resort on Diani Beach, on Kenya's south coast near Ukunda, a short drive from the Ukunda airstrip. It is affiliated with Travelbook Hotels and markets itself for beach holidays, corporate and social events and destination weddings. Its 2023 company profile lists 143 rooms and suites, from standard rooms to penthouses and two presidential suites, so large groups can stay on site.

For conferences the resort has two main halls, Shark 1 and Shark 2, which take up to 500 and 300 people theatre-style, and up to 400 and 200 in classroom layout. The Oyster and Octopus rooms each seat about 120 to 144 theatre-style, the Pearl Boardroom suits meetings of 15, and a small office can be hired. The company profile puts the resort's total conference capacity at up to 2,000 delegates. No banquet or cocktail figures are published, so dinner and reception numbers should be confirmed when enquiring.

Weddings are a major focus. Couples can marry on the white sand facing the Indian Ocean, in the gardens or in a banquet hall, and the resort offers wedding packages, cakes, bridal flowers and on-site salon services. It also hosts vow renewals, proposals, honeymoons, baby showers, birthday parties, family gatherings, beach bonfires and team-building sessions.

Conference rooms are air-conditioned, with projectors and screens, audio-visual and PA equipment, high-speed internet, 24-hour backup power, a business centre, secretarial support and a dedicated conference host. Food comes from the resort's chefs, with buffets at the Coral Rock Café and grills at Fins Beach Bar & Grill, while the Zebra Square Bar & Piano Lounge and Zuri Disco serve drinks. Guests also have two pools and a gym. The Maya Spa is closed for renovation until further notice, so check before planning spa treatments for a wedding party.
