Comfort Gardens, Nanyuki

Comfort Gardens Sweetwaters is a hotel set in landscaped gardens on Marura Road, just outside the Rongai Gate of Ol Pejeta Conservancy near Nanyuki. The property sits about 15 kilometres from the equator and roughly three hours' drive from Nairobi, with views towards Mount Kenya. It is the Nanyuki branch of Comfort Gardens, which also runs a hotel in Gigiri, Nairobi.

Its indoor event space is Ndovu Hall, a conference room of about 162 square metres. The hotel lists it at 150 people theatre-style, 70 in a classroom layout, 40 around a U-shape and 30 in cabaret style, and it can also be set up as a boardroom. Outdoors, the event gardens are planted with mature trees, including acacias, and are offered for ceremonies, receptions and evening functions, though no garden capacity is published.

The hall is aimed at corporate strategy meetings, multi-day training programmes, NGO workshops and board retreats, and the grounds are also promoted for team-building days and company retreats. On the social side, the hotel hosts outdoor weddings and garden receptions, engagement parties, bridal showers, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, corporate cocktail evenings, holiday parties, church outings and cultural ceremonies.

Conference packages cover use of the hall, tea breaks, lunch, stationery, drinking water, a PA system and a projector, with flip charts, Wi-Fi and on-site technical support also listed; transport and logistics can be arranged. For weddings and parties the team offers décor, seating plans, flowers, catering and on-site coordination. Food comes from the Nest Restaurant and the Poolside Restaurant, and the Lion Bar serves wine and Kenyan craft beers. Guests can stay over in Savannah Rooms, a Royal Suite or Luxury Villas, and the hotel arranges safari drives into Ol Pejeta. There is a swimming pool, a children's pool and a playground.
