Camellia Gardens Limuru

Camellia Gardens is a garden restaurant and event venue in Tigoni, Limuru, set among the tea farms of the Kiambu highlands north-west of Nairobi. It takes its name from Camellia sinensis, the tea plant that grows all around it, and its lawns look straight out over the tea fields. The venue says the place was inspired by Limuru's cool breeze and green hills, so it's worth planning for cooler weather later in the day.

Events are held outdoors in the gardens, which the venue describes as manicured lawns with flowerbeds and set-ups for anything from an intimate ceremony to a larger celebration. Its own photos show a large marquee pitched on the lawn for a function, garden seating beside the restaurant and a children's playground.
