Making Green Fun: A Family Day of Candle Making, Eco-Education & Tea Estate Walks in Tigoni – July 19, 2025
Tigoni, Kenya – July 14, 2025 — Looking for the perfect weekend plan that blends creativity, sustainability, and the great outdoors? Friends of Creation, in partnership with NASO @ Home, invites you to “Making Green Fun”, a family-friendly, eco-conscious event happening on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at their serene site nestled in the Limuru Tea Estate, Tigoni.
This one-of-a-kind experience is designed to inspire participants of all ages to connect with nature, learn hands-on skills, and embrace greener living. At the heart of the event is a candle-making workshop, where guests will create their own eco-friendly soy candles using recycled glass—guided by the team behind NASO @ Home, a boutique candle and décor brand rooted in Kenyan and global craft traditions.
But there’s more than just candles! Guests will also enjoy:
- A guided tour of the Friends of Creation plant farm and recycling centre
- A tranquil walk through the lush Limuru tea fields while candles set
- A wholesome lunch, drinks, music, games, and community connection
- Insightful conversations on upcycling, sustainability, and greener lifestyles
