Nairobi Street Food Festival: 7th Edition Highlights

Relive the Nairobi Street Food Festival 7th Edition with highlights and favorite street eats from Kenya’s tastiest food event.

Last Saturday was nothing short of epic, my friends! The Nairobi Street Food Festival returned for its 7th edition on September 6th, 2025, and it was everything we needed and more. The Jamhuri Showground was absolutely buzzing with energy from 10:00 AM, and the vibes? Completely unmatched!

The Nairobi Street Food Festival has become the go-to spot for anyone who loves good food, good music, and even better company. Furthermore, the event has truly established itself as that one event where cultures meet, flavors collide, and memories are made.

With six successful editions already under its belt, this 7th edition proved once again why it’s become one of Nairobi’s most anticipated food celebrations. Here are the highlights:

Nairobi Street Food Festival 7th Edition: The Scene Was Amazing!

Where do I even begin with the food situation? From the moment you stepped into the Jamhuri Showground, the aroma of grilled meats, sweet treats, and all sorts of delicious eats filled the air.

The organizers really outdid themselves this time, bringing together some of Kenya’s finest food vendors under one roof. Additionally, the variety was just incredible – we’re talking everything from traditional favorites like nyama choma and chapati to creative fusion dishes that had people lining up for more.

Kenyans showed up ready to eat, vibe, and connect with fellow food lovers. The energy was contagious, and seeing families with young kids right next to groups of friends and even elderly couples enjoying themselves together was such a beautiful sight.

Moreover, the official partners really brought their A-game to make this Nairobi Street Food Festival unforgettable. Indomie, our beloved noodle brand, was right there as an official partner. Additionally, Zesta came through as the official sauce partner, and their range of sauces – from sweet to seriously spicy – had people experimenting with flavors like never before.

Also, Farmer’s Choice was a key partner whose sausages and meat products became the foundation for so many of the incredible snacks being served by different vendors.

The Vendors Really Brought Their Best Game!

The vendor lineup at this year’s event was absolutely spectacular!

Pasua Bites, who are already well known for their unique takes on the basic smocha, came through with their A-game. Their Pasua Special Hotdog was the talk of the festival. Imagine biting into a boerewors hotdog topped with fresh salads, caramelized onions, minced beef, and your choice of sauces. People were literally queuing up just to get a taste!

In addition, ChiQ Japanese Restaurant brought those authentic flavors from the East that had food lovers completely mesmerized. Known for their ramen and sushi bar, they served up fan favorites like iced matcha latte, Yangnyeom, and their famous Karaage Chicken.

Additionally, 3 Little Piglets BBQ absolutely stole the show with their specialty ribs, skewers, and homestyle sides. They brought that nyama choma heat with a pork twist that had people coming back for more. Additionally, their meat was juicy, smoky, and grilled to perfection. No wonder they attracted huge crowds and actually sold out!

Also, Ratata Kenya, the creators of the finest pineapple wine, kept the adults properly refreshed throughout the day. Their drinks were so well-received that people were already asking where they could get more.

Furthermore, Spicey-O, with their organic handmade sauces, provided the perfect pairings for all the nyama choma and other foods being served across the festival. Plus, just like many other vendors, they had cleared their shelves completely by the end of the Nairobi Street Food Festival – talk about success!

Plus, other amazing vendors like Booch Kombucha, The London Ice Cream Van, Cake City, and Tyler’s Bar all contributed to making this festival an unforgettable culinary adventure.

The Perfect End to a Perfect Day!

But let’s not forget that the Nairobi Street Food Festival isn’t just about the incredible food – the entertainment was absolutely top-notch too!

The performances by Mnaty Official, DECO, Serro Jina Kubwa, and Brandy Maina kept everyone dancing and singing along throughout the day. Additionally, the DJs made sure the music never stopped flowing, creating the perfect soundtrack for this amazing food adventure.

Furthermore, The Greatest Showman truly lived up to his name, working overtime as the MC and keeping the energy levels sky-high from start to finish. He was definitely one of the shining stars of the entire event.

If this festival taught us anything, it’s that Nairobi knows how to bring people together over great food and even greater vibes.
