The venue? None other than the Kenya School of TVET (KSTVET) in Gigiri, which was transformed into a buzzing open-air market full of color, creativity, and endless fun. This wasn’t just any ordinary market—it was a diverse, lively, and Insta-worthy experience!

Here are some of the most memorable highlights:

The aesthetic overload at Bizarre Bazaar was everything.

Picture warm white bulb lights strung up like stars, glowing under slightly cloudy skies, with white tents like a mini artsy village. The theme of the day was Ankara everything! From table runners to vendor displays, the vibrant African prints were visible and vibrant.

Being April, the weather tried to play us with a few drizzles, but Kenyans don’t fold. People kept strolling, shopping, and snapping pics.

Plus, the cultural decorations— woven baskets, hanging tapestries, shukas, and earthy-toned setups—made the whole place feel like an Afro-chic wonderland.

Even the air smelled like creativity, and it was well deserved as the Bizbazevents crew went all out.

As the name suggests, Bizarre Bazaar was everything but a regular market. The vendors came locked and loaded with the kind of goodies that make your wallet cry in a good way. Every corner had something unique.

First off, the artwork and crafts section was impressive. Paintings so vivid you’d swear they were alive, photos capturing Kenya’s beauty in every frame, and sculptures that made you stop and stare. Plus, the handmade mugs, sun catchers, vases, and glasses were perfect for anyone looking to upgrade their home decor game.

Then came the fashion and accessories. Think handbags with intricate beadwork, Ankara-infused outfits that had everyone turning heads, and jewelry so pretty you’d want one in every color.

Brands like Buntu Life and Sandstorm Kenya brought the heat with their artisanal products, from stylish accessories to handcrafted items. There wasn’t a dull product.

Soundtrack to an Epic Weekend

Bizarre Bazaar did not disappoint with entertainment. First off, the cultural and traditional performances had everyone stopping in their tracks. There were drummers going ham, dancers bringing the energy, and singers hitting notes.

Then came the live band with smooth tunes and Afro-fusion that had the crowd singing along. In addition, the kids’ corner was the perfect way to keep kids entertained. Parents could sip their wine while the kids had their own party—genius!

Finally, the real MVP of the weekend—the food and drinks! The lineup was a chef’s kiss, starting with Fonda’s Taco Truck, which served up crunchy, juicy tacos that had people coming back for thirds.

In addition, Crispy Chick was in the area, serving crispy, falling-off-the-bone tender chicken. You could also find burgers, fries, and other savory snacks sporting that authentic Kenyan flavor.

To wash it all down, Cuka’s had rich, aromatic brews were the perfect pick-me-up between shopping sprees. Additionally, The Wine Box kept the wine lovers happy with smooth pours. Furthermore, HOPSMITH brought craft beer on tap.

But wait—the desserts! The London Ice Cream Van and Mr. Gelato had us in a sugar coma in the best way possible. They served creamy, dreamy ice cream and gelato in flavors that made you want to try one of each!

It was the perfect balance of savory and sweet.
