Mazoezi for Mobility: 24 Hours of Strength, Community, and Purpose

September 3, 2025 | Nairobi, Kenya — On September 20–21, 2025, The Hub Karen will host Mazoezi for Mobility, a unique 24-hour challenge with a powerful mission: to raise funds and awareness for people living with disabilities. With nearly 10% of Kenya’s population living with some form of disability, the event seeks to spotlight the urgent need for greater support and inclusion.

At the heart of this initiative is Jonathan Leonard, who will attempt the extraordinary feat of completing 24 straight hours of burpees—a test of endurance, resilience, and unwavering commitment. Participants are invited to join him by booking 30-minute slots (KES 2,500 each) and using their time in the space however they wish: dance, sing, sit, exercise, or even join in the burpees.

This is more than just a fitness challenge; it is a community-driven movement designed to inspire collective action. Families, friends, and colleagues can participate together, making each slot a shared act of solidarity. By harnessing physical energy for a greater purpose, every participant contributes directly to two disability charities working to improve the lives of Kenyans with disabilities.

“Mazoezi for Mobility is not about athletic ability—it’s about showing up, standing together, and making a difference,” says Jonathan Leonard. “Every burpee, every movement, and every laugh we share over 24 hours will create impact that extends far beyond this event.”

With its fusion of challenge, creativity, and compassion, Mazoezi for Mobility promises to be a truly unforgettable experience—one where personal endurance meets collective generosity.
