Rhyme & Reason KE Debuts with a Fresh Blend of Poetry, Music, and Community at Safari Bowling Green

22nd August 2025 | Nairobi, Kenya – A new creative wave is set to hit the city this August as Rhyme & Reason KE launches its first edition on Sunday, 31st August 2025 at the scenic Safari Bowling Green Restaurant, City Park – Nairobi. Running from 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM, this curated afternoon promises a soulful mix of live poetry, mellow music, and meaningful connections in one of Nairobi’s most serene outdoor spaces.

Rhyme & Reason KE is a biweekly poetry and music series designed to spotlight Nairobi’s thriving artistic community — from spoken word performers and storytellers to vocalists and instrumentalists. Guests will be treated to curated sets from featured poets and singers, all enhanced by live accompaniment from the event’s in-house band.

For those who want to step into the spotlight, an open mic segment will be available, offering an exciting platform for emerging voices and fresh talent to shine. The event will also feature word games, coloring pages, and a lineup of craft vendors, making it more than just a performance space but a wholesome creative hub.

The outdoor setting at Bowling Green offers the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of art and reflection. Attendees are encouraged to bring a Maasai shuka for comfort as they immerse themselves in the performances and the laid-back park atmosphere.

“Rhyme & Reason KE is about creating an intentional space where art meets community. We’re giving Nairobi’s poets and musicians a stage to be heard, while also inviting the audience to be part of the creative process,” say the organizers.
