Miles 4 Minds Kenya Charity Run: Running for Education, Empowering Futures

Nairobi, Kenya — On Saturday, August 23, 2025, the scenic grounds of Moi Girls High School, Nairobi will transform into a hub of purpose, community, and endurance as runners, wellness enthusiasts, and changemakers come together for the Miles 4 Minds KE Charity Run.

This year, Education For All Children (EFAC) is teaming up with Amos Rono — a passionate runner, mental wellness advocate, and community leader — to launch a bold campaign that unites the grit of long-distance running with the life-changing power of education.

In Kenya, running is more than just a sport. It is a symbol of perseverance, resilience, and hope. It’s a discipline that mirrors the journey of EFAC’s scholars — young, talented students from under-resourced backgrounds who push through economic and social hurdles in pursuit of a brighter future.

Through Miles 4 Minds, Amos and his supporters are running a collective 2,000 kilometers to raise funds that will support 10 exceptional students on their path from education to meaningful employment. Each stride taken is a statement: that access to education should never be determined by where a child is born, but by the size of their dreams and the strength of their will.

Beyond the race, attendees can expect an uplifting day filled with connection, storytelling, and shared purpose. The event will feature a warm-up session, motivational talks from the EFAC team and Amos Rono himself, and the chance to meet some of the scholars whose lives will be directly impacted by the initiative.

“This is more than a charity run — it’s a movement,” says Amos Rono. “Every kilometer we cover is a step toward breaking the cycle of poverty through education. It’s about showing these students that we see them, believe in them, and are willing to run alongside them in their journey.”
