Dancehall 2 Gengetone Presents: KILELE — A Cross-Continental Music Celebration in Nairobi

Nairobi, Kenya – July 9, 2025 — The sound clash of the year is coming to Westlands! Dancehall 2 Gengetone proudly presents KILELE, an explosive night of bold beats and cultural crossover, happening on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 9:00 PM at The Mall, Westlands. This dynamic event brings together Nairobi’s genre-defying Gengetone energy with global bass and dancehall influences from Kingston to Berlin, in a celebration of sound that’s as unfiltered as it is unforgettable.

Now in its latest evolution under a Goethe-Institut supported project, KILELE (Swahili for “climax”) builds on its legacy of pushing the boundaries of East African club culture. Following a recent showcase at Open Ground, the event returns to its urban roots, armed with deeper global connections and a mission to fuse experimental dancehall with Nairobi’s homegrown street sound.

Headlining the night is the Arif project, a genre-bending performance collaboration between SnSe and Rafiiki, whose work bridges soundscapes between Nairobi and Europe through deconstructed club, electronic, and diasporic influences. Expect a thrilling live set followed by DJ sets under their solo aliases that will blur the lines between genres and continents.
