Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o’s The Trial of Dedan Kimathi Returns to the Stage in Powerful New Production at Kenya National Theatre

Nairobi, Kenya — May 12, 2025 — Nairobi Performing Arts Studio proudly presents a brand-new production of Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o and Micere Githae Mugo’s revolutionary play The Trial of Dedan Kimathi, directed by the internationally acclaimed Stuart Nash. This limited run will take place at the Kenya National Theatre from Thursday, June 19 to Sunday, June 29, 2025, featuring performances in both English and Kikuyu.
