The garden vibes? Epic! The crowd? A mix of youngings, foodies, and fun-seekers just looking to turn up on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Plus, the jokes were flowing non-stop—because what’s Ribs and Giggles without the giggles, right?

Those four hours felt like a whole vacation. For just Ksh 3,000, it was an all-you-can-eat, all-you-can-laugh kind of deal.

The highlights:

The Vibes Were Unmatched!

Let’s rewind to that sunny Sunday afternoon when Ribs and Giggles April Edition, turned BND into the ultimate chill spot. Before the crowd even arrived, Syoks and Chef Oboo were already in full chef mode—grills fired up, meat smoking, and that mouthwatering aroma filling the air.

As for the setup, the BND grounds were on point—lots of umbrellas, comfy bar stools, and tables arranged just right for that perfect garden vibe. The DJ booth was locked and loaded, decorations were hanging fresh, and everything screamed “Sherehe!”

By the time guests started rolling in, the team was more than ready to serve up a day of gluttony and giggles.

A Feast for the Senses

By 1 PM sharp, the party was already going as Nairobi’s finest—DJ G-Money, Grauchi, DJ Marvo, and DJ Malaika set the mood with smooth beats. The vibes? Correct! The energy? Electric!

And the food?

What a buffet it was! From fall-off-the-bone ribs to smoky brisket, roasted chicken, and tender goat, every bite was a flavor explosion. Chef Oboo and the Syoks team didn’t come to play—they came to feed the nation!

In addition, there were delectable sides of roasted maize, crispy fries, potato wedges, fresh kachumbari, and coleslaw, so no plate was left unbalanced. Best of all were the sauces—thick, tangy, and just the right kind of messy—perfect for dipping, drizzling, or just licking straight off your fingers.

But what’s a feast without something to wash it down? Tusker Cider was the beer of the day, crisp and refreshing for that sunny afternoon. But the real stars were the Gordon’s Gin cocktails—mixed to perfection. Not too strong, not too sweet, just balanced like your life after payday.

A Day to Remember

By mid-afternoon, one thing was clear – second and third servings were the official agenda at the Ribs and Giggles April Edition. People kept going back for more, and honestly, who could blame them? The meat was that good – perfectly marinated, juicy as anything, and slathered in those finger-licking sauces.

But it wasn’t just about the food. The whole day was a whole mood—some people were dancing, while others were happily planted in their seats, fully committed to their plates. Either way, everyone was winning!

And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, the party actually continued after the official closing time. The DJs kept the energy high, transitioning smoothly into an epic afterparty that had the real party animals staying put.

And there was even a sweet surprise—a special birthday celebration for Syoks himself, complete with a mango-shaped cake. It was the perfect way to wrap up what was easily one of the hottest barbecue events this side of Nairobi.
