Nairobi, Kenya – 29/4/2025 – Art lovers, collectors, and cultural enthusiasts are invited to immerse themselves in East Africa’s most anticipated visual art event—the 18th Affordable Art Show, happening from Friday, May 23 to Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the prestigious Nairobi National Museum.

Organized by the Kenya Museum Society, this annual showcase is the largest art show in East Africa, presenting an exceptional range of creativity with over 800 works of art by more than 400 artists. From bold paintings and intricate mixed media to thought-provoking sculptures and photographs, the exhibition highlights both emerging talents and established artists—some of whom have exhibited on international stages.

This year’s event maintains its core mission: to make art accessible to a wider audience. As a juried show, each artwork’s price is set collaboratively by the artist and a panel that includes the Curator of Art at the National Museums of Kenya. This ensures quality and affordability while supporting fair representation for the artists. A portion of every sale directly supports Kenya Museum Society projects, helping preserve Kenya’s cultural and natural heritage.

The opening night on Friday, May 23, offers extended viewings at 4:00 PM, 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 7:00 PM—an ideal time to get first access to your favorite pieces and engage with the artists in an intimate setting. The exhibition continues through the weekend with public viewings on Saturday and Sunday, May 24–25, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
